School In Boston
Thank you. I am looking for something that is a reasonable commute into the city. I have heard Newton provides good support. Any other suggestions on where to look and where to avoid will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for offering your experience.
Not sure of Boston itself, I have heard it can sometimes be tough, and of course it is expensive. I have heard good thinks about Newton, Wellesley, Belmont, Southborough, and Northborough. My daughter is in a private school in Southborough (NECC) but she is nonverbal and on the severe side. Living close to Boston, or in Boston for that matter is expensive, so the suburbs are the way to go if money is an issue. We live really close to the RI boarder and it is one of the cheaper areas to live in the state. The rules are about the same in the state as far as services go, however how the school districts are at providing services is a different story. The bigger the city the more students there are and the less attention the child gets, it is just straight math. Sorry I could not be of more health, we moved where we did to get out daughter in the school she is in.
Hi. I'm relocating with my almost 8th grader to the Boston area for a job in the city. My son is very high functioning Aspergers and in mainstream public school with behavioral support and accommodations. I would greatly appreciate recommendations for the best school systems (high school/ middle school) that have great IEP support for kids in this group.
Suggestions very much appreciated!
